I think Darkfall has been beaten for title of most hardcore game. There's even a playable demo.

I have that game. You know how on news reports like this they always say stuff like "the most important game" and "a new level of depth" but you can't really understand this until you play the game. AJ is a better developed character than most of the Final Fantasy protagonists, and this is an action game! The complex web of lies, treachery, and good ole fashion head shooting makes the story (I hate to having to use the Final Fantasy franchise but they are the only games epic enough in proportion to rival this) put any Final Fantasy game to shame. A game for RPers and FPSers alike, anyone should be able to pick this one up and immediately feel transported into a different world.
